Inazuma Eleven Walker Translations (2016)

[NEWS] Inazuma Eleven Walker Vol. 5 (Part 2) (Unedited)

I hope you enjoy this fan translation of the Outer Code episode 4. The code for the past Inazuma Walker was "Kami," so I guess it's obvious who is the following episode focused XD.

The scene opens with a glimpse of tree branches where a bird sits. Then it is shown that the previous view is from Aphrodi as tears sit on his eyes.

IEWalker-Vol5-OuterCode4-Aphrodi-Crying

(Aphrodi don't cry. But damn, he looks godly even when crying.)

His first words quote the article in his palm. "Zeus' power was fake. I wonder how everyone will feel when they read this." A tear falls on his palm and his face hardens. "It wasn't fake. Everyone put a lot of work. Even without Kami no Aqua, Zeus was strong."

After a short flashback, Aphrodi covers his face. "It was a mistake. As the captain why didn't I realize sooner?"

The bird from the first shot poses on his leg, interrupting Aphrodi's angst. A voice from an elder lady reaches him and he looks up.

IEWalker-Vol5-OuterCode4-Obaa-san

(At first glance, I noticed there was something about her. Her design doesn't fit IE. Not. At. All)

She asks him if something wrong, and offers to listen to him and give some advice if he doesn't mind, sitting on the bench beside him.

Of course, Aphrodi kindly refuses, saying it has nothing to do with her (this is a literal translation and not seen as rude). But she insists saying because ti has nothing to do with her that there is no problem to confide in her.

IEWalker-Vol5-OuterCode4-Aphrodi-Looking-Down

Calling himself a failure of a captain, he blames himself for the Zeus incident, and instead, he should have protected them.

The old lady asks him if he's going to quit, to which Aphrodi answers he can't help loving soccer so can't bring himself to do so

The old lady asks him if he's going to quit, to which Aphrodi answers he can't help loving soccer so can't bring himself to do so. He wants to take responsibility for his mistakes and go back to them. And because of him, his teammates suffered (or something).

The lady reassures everyone makes mistakes. What important is what they do later, overcome the consequences of their mistake and whether they can stand up again.

(Nice obaa-san. Nice.)

IEWalker-Vol5-OuterCode4-Aphrodi-Yearning

Aphrodi decides to try again. He doesn't want to repeat the same mistake and wonder if there is God out there, he will forget him.

(To my surprise) The lady asks if he isn't a god, which startles Aphrodi, and she pats his hands. She got a feeling she was a god because god guides people to the right path and protects them--what Aphrodi wants to do from now on--and states he's their god.

(Which triggers my favorite scene from this episode)

IEWalker-Vol5-OuterCode4-Aphrodi-Sad-Again

Unfortunately, Aphrodi says, he's no god and restates it. "Yes, I am not god."

(And that, ladies and gentlemen, is character development!)

However, the lady says if he's trying to become a god, then he's starting over as god's apprentice. Suggesting he becomes a kind god's apprentice that will lead everyone.

And so, Aphrodi decides to work hard to start over as god's apprentice.

The lady excuses herself to continue her stroll.

IEWalker-Vol5-OuterCode4-Aphrodi-Cheerful

Aphrodi thanks her and calls her obaa-chan (which sound adorable).

But then, BUT THEN, a strong wind blows and Aphrodi turns back to close the magazine.

AND THEN, he doesn't notice the lady disappearing into thin air.

IEWalker-Vol5-OuterCode4-Obaa-san-Dissapears

He throws the magazine to a nearby trashcan and his phone rings (Zeus' theme song, mind you). He picks up and one of this teammates (idk who he is but his voice is annoying) seems angry because practice started and he's not there. Because he's the captain.

IEWalker-Vol5-OuterCode4-Aphrodi-Hopeful

Aphrodi seems to feel refreshed after taking off that weight from this shoulder. An interesting detail I noticed is that now the sun is shining on him while at the beginning Aphrodi seemed to be hiding from it.

How nice would that if it had ended there, with Aphrodi restating he will start over as god's apprentice.

(But no, and tbh this was my favorite part.)

IEWalker-Vol5-OuterCode4-Soccer-Ball

The scene shifts to a falling soccer ball and guess who catches it? Kira Hiroto, or better known (not really) as GOD's striker.

IEWalker-Vol5-OuterCode4-Kira-Hiroto-Practicing

He makes an aggressive declaration that HE's god.

I love the tune that goes with his last dialogue. The previous Outer Code were are close as I could get to having a heart attack and a panic attack but this one was mellow. Even though I don't like Kira Hiroto as much (but seeing that movement with the ball is making me reconsider) if he hadn't appeared at the end I wouldn't have liked it as much.

I serously want to slap myself for not noticing the reference of Aphrodi=god and Kira Hiroto=god's striker before.

Now, to some of my personal thoughts.

This Outer Code was all I needed to understand Zeus. In the first season, the team didn't really stand out as much as Teikoku, Shin Teikoku, and other schools. I knew they were interesting but I couldn't be convinced as of why. If after the incident they were labeled as fake, rendering their effort to waste, and most probably tarnished their integrity to the whole country, then I feel for them. I seriously do.

I may do a list of the things that were presented in the Inazuma Walker. Just the most relevant things.
